Description: Is photographing wildlife and landscapes enough for nature photographers or should we be putting those images to work to preserve the species we care about? Fine Art Conservation photographer Jennifer Leigh Warner will talk about how photographs have the power to promote positive change and create policies to make real impacts on wildlife conservation. She will share stories from her more than 16 years in the field as a professional photographer and provide real world examples of how you can start putting your images to work.

Ethics and the Nature Photographer

Description: Nature Photography Ethics has become a topic of controversy over the past few years with photographers pushing the limits to what can and should be done to create impactful images. How we make our images and how we label them defines us a photographers. During this presentation NANPA Ethics Committee Chair, Jennifer Leigh Warner will take a dive deep into this issue discussing the importance of social responsibility and maintaining public trust in the ethical considerations made during the creation of nature related imagery.

Photographing Birds In Flight

Description: Learn how to photograph birds in flight or hone your wildlife photography skills. During this workshop we will discuss best practice for photographing birds in flight. We will talk about camera settings, how to prepare for photographing birds in different environments and prepare for an infield experience. .

Description: Light is everything in photography and knowing how to use that light to get the most out of your photos is how you get dynamic wildlife photographs. During this presentation we will discuss how you can photograph birds using backlighting.

Body Position, Light, Background and Angle: Tips for Photographing Wildlife

Description: How an animal is standing, walking or flying can make or break your image. Waiting for that critical moment when the stride is just right and knowing exactly when to press the shutter will move you from just ok to really WOW images. During this one hour presentation by professional wildlife photographer Jennifer Leigh Warner we will discuss when the body position looks right and how to look for the perfect lighting conditions.

Description: How an animal is standing, walking or flying can make or break your image.
