2023 Florida's Birding & Photo Fest - Speaker & Workshop Leader


Join Us April 19-23, 2023 for more than 110 exciting photography & birding events with field workshops that include photographing birds of prey, birds in flight, horses on the beach, creative processes, historic architecture, portraits, flash, macro and classic cars in-studio. We also offer classroom seminars including Photoshop & Lightroom, composition, processing, printing, composition, and flash techniques for beginning to advanced photographers.

Jennifer Leigh Warner

Jennifer Leigh Warner is a fine art conservation wildlife photographer, writer, public speaker and workshop leader for Wildside Nature Tours, living in Central Texas and specializes in creating meaningful images that conveys a message of hope for the natural world. Jennifer feels strongly that by sharing these images of beautiful animals in their natural environment, she can inspire those around her to preserve the world that we share with all living creatures.

Jennifer is a Certified Texas Master Naturalist, an Ambassador for Nature First and has served as the Chair of the Ethics Committee for the North America Nature Photographers Association since 2018

Jennifer works closely with conservation organizations to help support their missions to protect wildlife and the world around us. She believes that photography is a powerful tool to share these stores, educate photo viewers on important topics and inspire change.

Jennifer’s work has been published in Outdoor California, Gizmodo, the NANPA Expressions Magazine, Outdoor Photographer Magazine, WIRED, The New Yorker, National Geographic Online and Wild Planet Photo Magazine among others.

Learn how to photograph birds in flight or hone your wildlife photography skills. During this workshop we will discuss best practice for photographing birds in flight. We will talk about camera settings, how to prepare for photographing birds in different environments and prepare for an infield experience.

Ethics and the Nature Photographer

WED 1 P.M. - 2 P.M.

Nature Photography Ethics has become a topic of controversy over the past few years with photographers pushing the limits to what can and should be done to create impactful images. How we make our images and how we label them defines us a photographers. During this presentation NANPA Ethics Committee Chair, Jennifer Leigh Warner will take a dive deep into this issue discussing the importance of social responsibility and maintaining public trust in the ethical considerations made during the creation of nature related imagery.
