Spring in Grand Teton National Park is a magical time when the landscape transitions from the quiet of winter to the vibrant awakening of nature. This is the time of year that bears emerge from hibernation (often with cubs!), elk begin migrating to higher elevations, and moose and bison graze in the valleys.

As the snow melts, the landscape bursts into life with colorful wildflowers carpeting the meadows and hillsides. Lupine, Indian paintbrush, and glacier lilies add splashes of color to the scenery.

Join acclaimed wildlife photographer Jennifer Leigh Warner on this photographic journey through the iconic Grand Teton National Park.  You’ll visit famous locations such as Moulton Barn and Schwabacher Landing as well as off-the-beaten-path areas in search of many wildlife species that inhabit the park, including; bear, coyote, fox, moose, elk, pronghorn and many bird species. This time of year the majestic Grand Teton mountains will typically be capped with snow making for a beautiful backdrop for photography.  With Jennifer’s expert guidance you will leave with some exceptional photos.

Day 1 (May 31st)

Meet at Jackson Hole Airport (JAC).  You will be picked up by your leader and driven to your hotel a short distance away.  Plan to arrive at any time on the 31st, this is set aside as arrival day and there most likely will not be any photography sessions.

Day 2-5 (June 1st-June 4th)

Each day we will begin bright and early to catch the sunrise at one of Grand Teton’s iconic locations, such as Schwabacher Landing, Moulton Barn, Oxbow Bend and more. After a sunrise shoot we’ll stop for coffee and bagel or danish to go.  Then it’s off to find and photograph the abundance of wildlife in the park.  Be prepared for “Bear Jams” as bears and their cubs will be active this time of year. We’ll also be on the look out for Moose, Deer, Elk, Fox, Coyote, Bison and many bird species.  We’ll stop mid-day for lunch before heading out again in search of wildlife and scenic wildflower vistas. Dinner will be together as a group. or if the group decides, take-out will also be option before heading back to your hotel.

Day 6 (June 5th)

Depending on what time everyone is leaving, there may be time for a sunrise shoot before packing up and heading to the airport for flights home.
