The tallest bird in North America, the whooping crane breeds in the wetlands of Wood Buffalo National Park in northern Canada and spends the winter on the Texas coast at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge near Rockport. Whooping cranes begin their fall migration south to Texas in mid-September and begin the spring migration north to Canada in late March or early April.

Description: We will spend two days out on a small person chartered boat to photograph the Whooping Cranes. We will also spend time photographing the whooping cranes and other Texas wintering birds throughout the day. Jennifer has spent lots of time scouting optimal locations to provide excellent photo opportunities.
