The annual North America Nature Photographers Association Summit is on May 15-17th in Tucson, AZ. This is one of my favorite photography events of the year. Getting together with like-minded people who share a passion for nature photography is incredibly inspiring.
If you are still on the fence on deciding to attend, here are six reasons you should decide to go.
Keynote Speakers.
This year’s keynote speakers are in a class of their own. Keynote Speakers include Art Wolfe, Tui de Roy, Frans Lanting, William Neill, and Brian Skerry
2. Breakout Speakers.
In addition to the incredible line up of Keynote speakers, there are also over 20 breakout speakers delivering a variety of topics. One of these speakers, just happens to be me, Jennifer Leigh Warner and I will be talking about Conservation Photography, “Putting Your Images to Work”
3. Portfolio Reviews.
Getting your work reviewed from some of the best in the business will not only make you a better photographer, but could lead to some career-changing opportunities. Last year I had my work reviewed by Danita Stock Agency and afterwards I was asked to have my work represented by them.
4. Trade Show.
Conferences are always a great way to get deals on equipment and special offers. Here is the line up for this years trade show.
5. The Location.
NANPA Summit 2025 will take place in mid-May 2025 at the incredible Westin La Paloma Resort nestled in the Sonoran desert in Tucson, AZ. The property features some beautiful natural grounds that are great for photographing in. Here are a few images I made right there at the Westin La Paloma Resort and at nearby locations.
6. Networking.
The best thing about any conference is networking with other photographers. This is your chance to spend time meeting new people and catching up with old friends.
